I hope you are having a fantastic week and I wanted to share with you a fun idea that will maybe enable you to collaborate with other large bloggers somewhere along the way. Might not be today, might not be tomorrow, but it certainly can happen. Here is what you do and it’s pretty exciting, I actually tried it last week myself because I always like to test everything for you before I actually do it. What I did, was simply find a blogger or a celebrity or somebody that you would like to work with. Here is the key with that, you can’t pick Oprah. You could pick Oprah but Oprah is never going to see what you’re doing. You perhaps want to keep it to people or bloggers that have fans of 10,000 or less, or if you have more than 10,000 yourself try to find someone who is at about your level (as you grow, you can start getting noticed by others who are at about your level again and keep moving up from there). You don’t want to go way higher than your level and you don’t want to go way lower than your level typically because it’s not going to be of much use to you if someone with 5 fans gives you a shout out. I promise there are plenty of bloggers at or about your own personal level or just a tad higher.
Here is how you do it:
1. Go to their blog or website and find a post that they have personally written. Find a cool quote or idea, and then go to Canva, PicMonkey, Word Swag, someplace where you can pop in a quick quote from their article that you agree with because that’s going to be important and your fans are going to see it as well. It just need to be a stand alone quote, something that you feel is of value that your readers will also value in. Go ahead and drop it into a cute quote image via that program of your choice and make it be a really cute graphic. I highly suggest doing the Instagram square graphic because then we can repurpose it to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or Twitter. Go ahead and put their quote in there. Make sure the quote is not so long that it’s so hard to read. Just grab a quick and useful snippet, put it in quotes, and put their name underneath it.
2. Then when you have it looking exactly the way that you want it to look, go on Facebook, upload the image, and make sure you tag their fan page. You can do the same thing in Instagram, tag them. Do the same thing in Pinterest. Do the same thing in Twitter.
That’s it! Go ahead and put it out there and remember you may not hear back from that person. I can tell you, I tried it last week and the people who had significantly amount higher fans than I did, didn’t even respond but the people that closer to my number of fans were very receptive to it and I did receive a couple of emails thanking just for sending out their information.
All you’re going to do is share a great quote with your fans, not expecting anything in return but you never know where a door might open that you did not expect it to. I can tell you that when people share my things or if they did something like that and tagged me in it and shared what I was sharing on my blog out with all of their fans, I would be very flattered and more than likely I would say thank you as well.
It’s always great to share not because you’re planning and think that you should get something in return. It’s just to create a relationship with the other bloggers because some day you may want to collaborate on a joint venture, a collaborative blog, a collaborative Pinterest board, a giveaway, or perhaps an affiliate kind of relationship.
You have no idea what can come down the pipe from that. It’s good to know some great people out there and a good way to get that relationship started with bloggers and teacher celebrities that you don’t know. Start sharing their great information out there with your fans who also are going to get benefit from not just seeing your things all the time but seeing how you are sharing information from others as well and they will definitely appreciate that. That’s your tip for this week! Have you used this method and found results? I would love to hear what happens when you experiment with this in the comments below!
Have a great week guys and I will talk to you again soon,
