Hey, everyone! I thought I would share a really fun little tip for you today that might help you whenever you are blogging. Coschedule.com/headline-analyzer is the website to check out.
This site is pretty cool. It really will help you to write better headlines. If you’re looking for what to post about, you – and you already know – you want to come up with a great title that’s going to index well in Google and show up well on Facebook news feeds and in Pinterest feeds. You can enter the text to begin the headline analysis.
For instance, let’s say I wanted to write a blog post about differentiation. I would say differentiation dos and don’ts and I’m going to analyze it. What it’s going to do is it’s going to tell me several things. First it’s going to tell me it gave me a 41. What does that mean? It gives me a B+. It’s talking about ways to improve it. Emotional headlines, obviously this is not very emotional at all. We’re just talking about differentiation. The headline type is generic. It’s a bit short, it says. It doesn’t have enough words. This is what it would look like in the Google results and what it would look like in an email subject line. Says some keywords, sentiment, and then basically that’s the score.
Let’s go up and let’s try to improve our score because we always want to get better. Let’s say we say classroom differentiation dos and dont’s. Let’s see if that does any better. We got a little bit better. 48. We’re still at a B+. Here it brought up the character counts and the word counts. Approximately 6 words.
You can change it up as much as you like and then it gives you your history and it shows you how to change it. Really just go through and try to, whenever you’re writing a blog post and you’re trying to come up with a great headline or if you’re writing a newsletter subject line or if you’re writing Facebook ad title copy or a Pinterest pin and you’re looking for some great text to put in there as well. For headlines and what’s going to grab people’s attention, you want to try to make sure that you’ve got some of these different characteristics in here that it tells you about.
I hope that has been super helpful for you today. It is from coschedule.com/headline-analyzer. Hopefully that’ll be a great tip for you to try.
